“Delta Dusk” 30x40

Inspired by my artist grandmother, Hope Carr, I’m recreating some of her past pieces in my own style!

This is another one from Carter, MS. My grandfather used to take my grandmother out driving, searching for landscapes for future paintings in the late afternoons. He drove while she got out to take photos, usually with one of their dogs in the back seat, either Savannah or Winslow. 

I took a different approach with this piece and went for a different color scheme with more muted tones. The original was a bit more vibrant, but after many layers, this is where I ended up.
